In 1896, Edwin Worden purchased the adjacent Central House Hotel and made it a lot bigger and even changed its name to the Worden Hotel. He purchased the Arlington in 1900, and by 1921, connected the two hotels making them one. He made numerous improvements including hot and cold running water. He made numerous improvements including hot and cold running water, electric bells, and accommodations for up to 100 guests. Behind the hotel were stables for horses which were later converted to garages when guests with automobiles started arriving.
Worden also owned two large farms called South Farm and North Farm with gardens that supplied the hotel. The Annex Building and Worden Cottage were across the street, and the Worden Rest and Idle Hour were south of the hotel along Canada Street.
In 1944, the Annex became Ye Olde Lake House. The Idle Hour was Mr. Worden’s personal residence. He also owned and managed the Lake George Water Company which supplied the village with its water.
Following Worden’s death in 1933, the Worden Hotel was sold and renamed Hotel Lake George. Hotel Lake George burned in a spectacular fire in October of 1978.g water, electric bells, and accommodations for up to 100 guests. Behind the hotel were stables for horses which were later converted to garages when guests with automobiles started arriving.

Showing minor signs of wear and handling consistent with its age. Has 2 small areas of pencil writing. Otherwise, mostly very clean throughout. Was folded at some point, where the front panel does not fold down flat to the top as it normally should. Elsewhere, no issues to note. Overall, in good condition. Will display well in your collection. You will receive the exact map shown in the photos. Opened, it measures approx. 8" x 16"
