New-York Mirror Weekly Journal Literature Fine Arts Newspaper 3/24/32 8pp
The Mirror was founded by George Pope Morris and Samuel Woodworth in August 1823. The journal was a weekly publication, and it included coverage of arts and literature in addition to local news. Circulation flagged in the 1840s and at the end of 1842 the paper was closed. In 1843 Morris partnered with popular writer Nathaniel Parker Willis to revamp the business, and together they relaunched the newspaper as The New Mirror, which published weekly for eighteen months. They then established The Evening Mirror in 1844. - Source - Wikipedia.
The issues all appear to follow the same 8 page format with sheet music on the back page.
On quality paper stock that has held up nicely after over 190 years. Appears to have been taken from a bound collection. Showing only minor signs of wear and handling consistent with its age. Large staining throughout - leaving the text nearly 100% clearly legible. Very slight expected fold crease at center. Toning - mostly along all edges. Few, if any small tears, creases or folds. No large tears or loss. In good to very good condition. You will receive the exact example in the photos. It measures approx. 10 1/2" x 13 1/4" - this ships folded at the existing fold crease at center.
