This piece is from an important transitional time for Edward Martin - likely in search of management assistance, in 1872 he hired C.G. Perrin and just two years later, made him a partner. The four-story building shown in the vignette allowed all aspects of the product production and marketing of Martin's own brands.

Showing only minor signs of wear consistent with its age. Light right edge staining that bled through from the reverse. No tears or loss. Expected fold creases from posting. Minor surface creases throughout. All text are legible. Eye-catching illustrated building vignette and header type faces / fonts. Overall, in good to very good condition. Will display well in your collection. It measures approx. 3 3/8" x 8 1/4"
