Welcome to my listing for:
Leland Musick Drives Car #10 Signed c1940's 8"x10" Photo Stamped Gene Gauss
This is part of a well cared for lifetime collection of mostly 1940's-50's racing ephemera assembled by a young couple that married in 1946 and both loved racing. They traveled extensively in the 5 years before they had children - and along the way, became close friends with of many of the drivers and their wives. This couple's daughter spoke to me about when her parents could no longer travel as freely as they did as newlyweds, when their family grew, they passed on their love for racing. In particular, the Indy 500 was a very big event every year. There was much activity around the house and the family gathered around the radio for the 4-5 hour race duration back in the 1960's. She wrote that Indy day was like a holiday. She was very happy to hear that these items would go to new homes to be appreciated by racing fans and become part of their collections.
Light staining and slight vertical cracking and surface creases throughout. Otherwise, showing minor signs of wear and handling consistent with its age. No other major issues to note. High gloss surface. Overall, in fair to good condition. The issues are not overly distracting and will still display well in your collection. You will receive the photo shown in the photos. It measures approx. 8" x 10"
**Shipped securely in a poly sleeve, inside a rigid mailer via USPS Ground Advantage service with full tracking**
