Opened in 1909. Massive fire in 1946. Renovated and reopened by 1947. Was demolished in 1976 to construct office towers.
These matchbooks arrive here at Jerry’s Vintage Trading from large, well cared for collections from all over the U.S. - where the collector had the foresight decades ago to preserve the original look and feel of what are now 50, 60 and in some cases 70+ year old treasures of graphic and cultural history - by not stripping out the matches.
