*The New York and Pennsylvania Railroad (NYP) 1894-1917 (for passenger service) was plagued in its latter years by multiple 1916-17 flooding damages, which also affected service for several large nearby businesses that, in turn depended on the line for freight business and eventually went out of business, which combined with the ever depleting volume of lumber, coal and other natural resources, it was announced on 11/30/17 the suspension of all operations would go into effect the following day. Although afterwards, some of the freight service was restored, the entire operation ended in 1935. December 1, 1917 was the end of passenger service. The ticket in this listing are from the final months just before the end of passenger service.
On paper stock. Showing wear from use and handling consistent with its age. All have hard fold creases at center - some will detach if handled roughly. Mostly clean and with no other major issues to note. Overall, in fair to good condition. You will receive the exact tickets shown in the photos. Will display well in your collection. They each measures approx. 2 1/2" x 6". Included are several extra torn halves.
This will ship securely inside a poly sleeve, with a chipboard backer, in a rigid mailer via USPS Ground Advantage service with a tracking number. The shipping cost for the first purchase is $4.00 and no extra cost for additional tickets / stubs - or similar items that can be shipped in the same package.
