Glover, Warner & Clarke was a prominent general store located in Sandy Hook, CT. It is believed that the store opened in 1861. As many general stores did at the time, GW&C's store soon became a central part of the town. The Glover family traces their roots to colonial Connecticut when John Glover, in his 20's arrived at Boston from England in 1636 and lived most of his life in New Haven. Condition: Showing only minor signs of age, use and handling consistent with it's age. Expected fold creases from posting. No tears or loss. Edges and corners are crisp. 100% of the printed and written text is legible. Eye-catching mixed typography and clean handwriting. In good to very good condition.
