Welcome to my listing for:
Duluth, MN Cutler & Gilbert / S.R. Buford 1894 Shipping Receipt - Billhead
Simeon R. Buford opened the region’s largest grocery store in Virginia City, Montana in 1878. Buford’s was the supply point for most of southwestern Montana, including the infant “Butte City.” In later years, Butte’s huge warehouses would, in turn, supply Buford’s own business. The store would become one of the most successful in Virginia City history, operating well into the 1920s
Showing only minor signs of wear consistent with its age. Expected fold creases and related surface creases from posting. Crease and fold-over along the right edge. Elsewhere, no tears or loss. Overall, in good to very good condition. Will display well in your collection. It measures approx. 4 1/4" x 8"
You will receive the exact example shown in the photos. **Ships securely, folded at existing creases, in a poly bag, sandwiched with chipboard inside a flat rigid mailer**
