*Ephraim Baker (1836-1919) operated a general store in Mount Olive, Shenandoah County, Virginia for most of his adult life. This is part of a collection of Checks, billheads and letterheads mostly from purchases from wholesale merchants for inventory for Baker's store. His store was used at one point as a hospital during the Civil War. He also served as Mt. Olive Postmaster from 1874 to 1889 and 1895 1898. Baker is buried in the Saint Stephens Cemetery, Strasburg, VA
