Hard cover and pages showing minor signs of toning, wear, handling and age - mostly minor damage at 1" of top spine. Cover and all pages are securely and tightly bound. First two pages are a 1865 policy covering merchandise valued at $413 traveling from "Philadelphia via canal to Petersburg, VA" aboard the Steamer " Mayflower" with two strong signatures by the insurance company's president, Henry D. Sherrerd along with an affixed tax / revenue stamp. The following 14 pages have policy entries and details from 1865 to 1869 then followed by 30+ sheets with no entries.
All pages are clean and in good to very good condition. The entries are clean and legible.
