They traveled extensively in the 5 years before they had children - and along the way, became close friends with of many of the drivers and their wives. This couple's daughter spoke to me about when her parents could no longer travel as freely as they did as newlyweds, when their family grew, they passed on their love for racing. In particular, the Indy 500 was a very big event every year. There was much activity around the house and the family gathered around the radio for the 4-5 hour race duration back in the 1960's. She wrote that Indy day was like a holiday. She was very happy to hear that these items would go to new homes to be appreciated by racing fans and become part of their collections.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eLight staining and slight vertical cracking and surface creases throughout.
